Doing what I can to help humanity in the necessary transition towards a regenerative future.

Since 2019 I am focussing all my energy on the transition of the European agrifood system from an extractive system focussed on yield to a regenerative system, which is rewarding farmers fairly for their scientifically measured ecosystem services.

I also believe that we need to change how we run our organisation from the current extractive way to one that is more in line with natural principles and I study and experiment with regenerative culture and regenerative leadership.

Since 2009 I am world record holder in simultaneous fire breathing and I am part of Ashoka's Changemaker community since 2014, the BMW Foundation's Responsible Leader network since 2022 as well as TED Countdown since 2023.

During my twenties I was deep into culture and electronic music and co-founded the Love Foundation (2013), Viva con Agua Nederland (2015) and Hug Records (2017), the worlds first social music label.
